Having a Pet Contributes to Healthy Aging!

With more older adults living in care communities, there’s been a definite need to accommodate our four-legged friends. Activity Specialists with the Hummingbird Project know how important it is to advocate for their client’s pets as they assist in reducing stress, lowering blood pressure, and increasing social interaction. When an Activity Specialist meets with a client virtually, she always makes sure to ask him about their furry friend…because they are family!!!
