Sharing Thanks and Gratitude
At Thanksgiving, it’s the perfect time to celebrate all we are thankful for. Practicing gratitude connects us to something larger than ourselves- whether to other people, nature or a higher power- and it can significantly improve our everyday lives.
To start, take a walk with your loved one in nature to collect branches for a Gratitude Tree. Place them in a vase of jar. Then cut leaf shapes from colored paper or use artificial leaves from The Dollar Store. Sharpie markers work great to write what you are grateful for on the leaves. Then use ribbon to attach the leaves to the tree and watch your gratitude bloom!
This meaningful activity nurtures physical, emotional and creative qualities of life and can bring family and friends together in a personally unique way.
May you and your families be filled with gratitude and love this holiday!
