The Hummingbird Therapeutic Activity Program pairs clients with therapeutic activity specialists trained in helping older adults reengage in old passions and explore new interests. Activity plans are highly individualized to reflect each client’s unique personality, life history, interests, and abilities. The Hummingbird team engages clients through one-on-one activity sessions, carefully planned outings, and individualized Therapeutic Activity Kits that can be used by family members, care providers, and other care team members at any time to engage clients in a range of meaningful and stimulating activities. Our trained staff work with adults having a wide range of cognitive abilities — including those with Dementia or Alzheimer’s.
Step 1: Contact Us for a Free Consultation. Call us at (650) 777-7607 or email Hummingbird@SageEldercare.com or fill out the form below.
Step 2: A member of our Hummingbird staff will hear your story, explain Hummingbird Project services, and recommend a plan.
Step 3: Depending on unique interests, needs, history, and location, we pair your client or loved one with one of our highly trained therapeutic activity specialists for in-person or virtual sessions — or a combination of both.
Sessions might include memory or sensory games, memoir writing, armchair travel, gardening, creating art or crafts, or special outings to a place connected with a client’s past or special interests.
- Detailed reports are provided after every therapeutic activity session, so all are kept informed.
- Activity plans are then fine-tuned based on input from family members and/or care professionals.
While in-person visits are limited to some geographical regions (click here to find out where), our virtual services are offered across the United States.
