Memory-Enhancing Suitcases
Our thanks to the New York Times for publishing a fantastic article about memory-enhancing suitcases, which are used to support people with memory loss through reminiscing and connection. They utilize objects, props and familiar imagery to support creative engagment. These were devised by House of Memories in Liverpool, and we think the partnership between people living with dementia and museums is integral to reducing isolation and promoting creative aging! Reminds us of our mobile museum program and activity kits.
