Jen has been with the Hummingbird Project for five years. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nutritional Science with an emphasis in Nutrition Education from San Jose State University and is currently in the process of obtaining a Diploma in Holistic Nutrition. She is a Certified Therapeutic Recreation Specialist and Senior Fitness Instructor with 13 years of programming experience serving as a Recreation Leader of a Skilled Nursing Facility, Lifestyles Manager of the Wellness programs at an RCFE, and Activity Coordinator of an Adult Day Health Center. Her passion for exercise and nutrition allows her to bring a wellness approach to clients one-on-one or virtually. Some of her favorite activities to share with older adults include brain fitness, reminiscing, mediation, exercise, expressive arts, travelogues, mindfulness activities, and food-themed programs that include healthy cooking and baking activities.
