Catalog Inspires Creative Thinking
A museum catalog containing an exhibition of drawings can be very useful to inspire creative expression. Steven, a Hummingbird client, was intrigued by several drawings in a book brought by his Activity Specialist.
One drawing depicted two couples, both standing in different positions. Steven observed the images for a few moments, and then connected to his own interpretation.
“They parted. He looks one way. She looks another way. Carrying their belongings. Symbolically, a lot of thinking.”
While looking at an image of a woman, he shared his thoughts, “It’s not a happy expression. She’s thinking too much. About something lost. “

Steven benefited from intellectual engagement and creative thinking that led to self expression, all supporting his quality of life.
