Please give the gift of joy and engagement!
No doubt Grandma and Grandpa have stories that make them a legacy. Joyful Moments can help you celebrate them.

“Joyful Moments Activity Cards provide the opportunity for people with dementia and their loved ones to jointly participate in meaningful activities. These shared experiences enhance the relationship and promote well-being through connectedness, happiness, autonomy and enrichment. Finding meaning in a world that can sometimes seem daunting and disorienting to a person with dementia can make them feel more secure, improve wellness and quality of life.” –Jennie Clark, M.A., Gerontology, C.P.G

We believe so deeply that creativity is more than just an activity. We see it as a necessary and integral component to holistic wellness. Creative quality of life is the key to promoting self-expression and helping individuals to thrive! Art and Music Combined
/in News /by tiffanyWhile pondering the love within the man depicted in “Love Serenade Before the Bust of the Beloved”, by Henry Gillard Glindini, an Activity Specialist posed a question for the group of residents about their own personal “love songs” they may associate with someone or a specific time period. One attendee named Ricky shared that “Maria, Maria”, by Santana, was easily his favorite. The Activity Specialist played the song for the residents via her smart phone. Ricky appeared so proud that his song was affecting everyone in the room. Not a soul could hold still. Feet tapped and bodies swayed.
Combine art and music combined for a powerful emotional and creative connection!
The Value of an Attitude of Gratitude
/in News /by tiffanyPracticing gratitude connects us to something larger than ourselves- whether to other people, nature or a higher power- and it can significantly improve our everyday lives.
Designate a gratitude jar. Place a pen and strips of decorative paper beside the jar. Write down something you are grateful for and place it in the jar. Collect picture of people and places you are grateful for and put them on a bulletin board to remind you of the abundance in your life.
This meaningful activity nurtures physical, emotional and spiritual qualities of life and can bring family and friends together in a personally unique way.
