Armchair Travel to a Favorite Place
After watching flower videos, our client Patricia remembered visiting Longwood Gardens in Delaware when she was a younger adult. By finding images on a tablet, she saw recognizable pathways and flower halls, and was transported to times when she and her husband spent time together, admiring the beautiful scenes.
She wanted to see as many photos as possible and as we enjoyed each image, Patricia told stories about her time there and how often she and husband would visit the gardens “This is so beautiful!” she exclaimed, adding that some of her happiest times were there. “It was one of my favorite places to visit and I’m visiting it now!”. She said she didn’t expect to get to go there today. “What a wonderful place this is” she said, and then added that she was so glad we had found it. Being able to connect to an experience that offered emotional value and beautiful visual stimulation is nurturing for multiple domains of quality of life.
Whether it’s a favorite place or a new place to explore , you can use a lap top or tablet and take your loved one on a wonderful destination experience.
